Tour Plan

Day 1:

Arrival in Leh On arrival at Leh airport meet our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Leh. Upon arrival, proceed for check-in at your hotel. Remainder of the day will be for rest, to acclimatize. Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel. Since you are reaching an altitude of 4000 meters approximately from 200 mtrs in just one hour’s time, you may be excited and would want to explore everything on your very first day. However, it is your body which needs to get acclimatized to such height and climate. We sincerely suggest that you rest on the first day for body acclimatization.

Day 2:

Visit Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar and Indus River), Gurudwara Pathhar Sahib, Magnetic hill, Hall of Fame, Spituk Monastery In the morning, start the journey towards Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar and Indus River). En-route visit Magnetic Hill (gravity hill, a type of optical illusion created by rising and descending terrain) and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib (constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak). On your way back, visit Ladakh Hall of fame (Run by the Indian Army, this museum/war memorial houses weapons, history exhibits & a souvenir shop) followed by a visit to Spituk Monastery (also known as Spituk Gompa or Pethup Gompa). After this come back to the hotel and spent the evening at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel. (Imp note: Vehicle charges will be extra for visiting light & sound show at Hall of Fame in the evening)

Day 3:

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (135Km / 5 Hours approx) Today after breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley (Hunder) via the World’s Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass. On arrival at Nubra Valley (Hunder), check in at a comfortable camp and relax. After relaxing for a while, proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can also enjoy a camel ride here (Camel ride on direct payment basis). Thereafter come back to camp. Spend evening at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4:

Nubra Valley(Hunder) –Turtuk- Hunder (80 Kms one way) Morning after Breakfast proceed to Turtuk - the Land of Baltis, which was under control of Pakistan before the 1971 War between the two nations. You may like to visit the 16 century Masjid and Minaret, Royal house of Yabgo dynasty, Ruin palace of Pun Khar, Historic polo ground. Later come back to Hunder. Dinner & overnight stay at the Camp.

Day 5:

Nubra Valley (Hunder) to Pangong via Shayok Morning after Breakfast, check out and visit Diskit Monastery. Post this, proceed for the journey to Pangong via Shayok. Diskit Monastery: Diskit Monastery also known as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh. On arrival check in at your cottage in Pangong. Later, explore Pangong Lake and spend some quality time at Lake. After this, come back to the cottage. Dinner and overnight stay at the cottage.

Day 6:

Pangong to Leh via Changla Pass (approx. 155 kms one way) In the morning, have breakfast at your camp/cottage in Pangong. Thereafter, proceed for your journey back to Leh via Changla pass. On arrival in Leh, visit Shanti Stupa & Leh market. Later check in to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7:

Departure Leave on time for Leh airport to board your flight to onward journey. TOUR CONCLUDES HERE

Medical Tips: This safari takes us through remote regions where professional medical help may not be available All passengers must consult the doctor before joining this tour & should carry all precautionary medicines required for higher altitude sickness like headache dizziness ,nausea ,insomnia ,breathing trouble. Any medical expense incurred for a group member will have to be borne by that member. Insurance: Any kind of insurance on luggage, accident, life or other allied matters is not provided for by VIVA TOURISM. Members coming on our trips will have to make their own arrangements for the same.

Holiday Excel reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to: Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, overbooking of hotels / flights, cancellation / rerouting of flights, closure of / entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we would not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.
Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc. (to be borne by the client, who is directly payable on the spot), we would not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.
Holiday Excel will not bear any cost for flight cancelled or delayed due to Bad weather or any other reason given by the airline. Cost for accommodation and transport in such cases will have to be borne by passengers.
There would be no refund for the road blocks at Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake & Tsomoriri Lake due to natural calamity. The alternate accommodation Cost at Leh or any other place due to the same will have to be borne by the passenger directly.
The tourism infrastructure in Leh-Ladakh is not very developed and one should not expect or compare it with the standards of plains & other developed destinations, there is always scarcity of water and power in the region and so you would come across situation like water (hot) being supplied on time basis – morning & evening.

The Category of Rooms in the packages normally remains the base category of rooms.
For Extra adult in the room we will provide an extra bed (wherever possible), but most of the hotels only provide extra mattress or rollaway beds. Most of the hotels have no provision of an extra bed.
In the area almost all the hotels do not have a lift facility and in all the hotels the guest will have to climb stairs. In case if any guest is having problem of blood pressure, knee or other ailment for which they cannot climb the higher floors they will have to intimate us during the time of booking so that we can try to arrange rooms at the lowest possible floor of the hotel enabling the guest to climb the minimum number of stairs.
Room allotment will be as per availability at the time of check in, floor or view preferences are not guaranteed.
Maximum 04 Pax can be accommodated in one vehicle including children’s (Xylo/Scorpio or Similar)
Maximum 08 Pax can be accommodated in one vehicle including children’s (Tempo Traveller)

During the month of October to April most of the camps | guest houses | hotels won’t be operational due to off season in various locations of Ladakh like Nubra Valley | Pangong Lake | Tsomoriri | Tsokar | Sham Valley | Kargil | Zanskar region etc. (So in that scenario best alternate accommodation will be provided with prior information to the guests at the time of booking)
